A practicing obstetrician for more than a decade, Dr Cole strives to take a holistic approach to pregnancy care, seeking to help make pregnancy an exciting and rewarding period for parents. While his primary consulting rooms are in East Melbourne, Dr Cole admits and operates at St Vincent’s Private Hospital Melbourne, performing a variety of procedures including caesarean sections, surgical interventions for recurrent miscarriages, and deliveries of high-risk and multiple pregnancies. Of particular interest to Dr Cole is fetal surgery. One of the founding members of the Victorian Fetal Therapy Service (VFTS), Dr Cole conducts a range of fetal surgical procedures at St Vincent’s, helping to ensure the best quality of life for both parent and child. 

About Dr Stephen Cole

In addition to his standard obstetrics training, Dr Cole has also undertaken additional education in a number of sub-specialisations including Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) and obstetric ultrasound, making him well equipped to help shepherd parents through high-risk and complex pregnancies. 

In addition, Dr Cole seeks to further improve the standard of obstetric care in Melbourne and Australia through educating the next generation of healthcare practitioners, providing teaching for trainees in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
